Which are the next walls to fall?”

An online contest promoted by Ahref Foundation, Altratv.tv
and Falling Walls Foundation (October 4–28, 2011)
Use your digital tools to tell us the story of a 'wall' that should fall
and then upload it on timu.it. The winner will be invited at the
Falling Walls Conference (Berlin, November 8-9, 2011)
Today there are still many 'walls' that should be knocked over to achieve a better life for individuals and communities as well. They can be actual and real walls, or even invisible ma neverthelss cumbersome. From Tuesday October 4 to Friday October 28 those walls can be identified and described through a variety of online storytelling formats: video, audio, photos, drawing, comics, essay. Anybody with a videocamera, a cell phone or a computer – and an exciting idea! – is welcome to tell his/her own story. Keep it under three-minutes. Then simply upload your file on timu.it., the collaborative platform launched by the Ahref Foundation.

The “Which are the next walls to fall?” contest emerges from the Falling Walls Conference, an annual global gathering of forward-thinking individuals and world’s leading scientists presenting their current research projects. The event first launched on November 9, 2009 (the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall) and it is scheduled each year on the same day in Berlin. In the upcoming 2011 edition, a new award/space is reserved for 100 young people proposing innovative solutions to society’s challenges through their discoveries, ideas and visions in a three-minute storytelling format.
The winner selected by our jury will be invited at the Berlin conference and will have the chance to further promote his/her work through a video or live blogging.
