2012 Health and Disability Intelligence Scholarships, New Zealand

Scholarships for Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD Students in the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand 2012 
About Scholarship: Public Health Intelligence, Ministry of Health, is offering Scholarships, Prizes and temporary part-time employment to statistics students in the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research. To encourage the analysis of public health topics and an awareness of the work of Public Health Intelligence within New Zealand and the wider Pacific communities at postgraduate level. 
Cover: BSc Hons – $4,000 MSc – $15,000 plus fees PhD – $20,000 plus fees

Scholarship can be taken at: New Zealand 
Eligibility:
1. Three or more postgraduate Scholarships will be offered as follows:
(i) One or more awarded annually to a full-time BSc (Hons) student(s). Each will have a value of $4,000 and be tenable for one year.
(ii) One awarded annually (or as available) to a full-time MSc thesis student. The Scholarship will have a value of $15,000 plus fees and be tenable for one year.
(iii) One awarded annually (or as available) to a PhD student. The Scholarship will have a value of $20,000 plus fees per annum and be tenable for 3 years.
2. The selection will be made on the basis of academic merit and a project/thesis topic jointly approved by the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research, and Public Health Intelligence.
3. The Scholarship is offered to New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and Pacific Island international students only.
4. These awards may not be held in conjunction with another scholarship except with the approval of the Head of School.
