ASHRAE Enginering Tecnology Scholarship, USA

The engineering Technology Scholarship is Three one-year $3,000 scholarships available annually to qualified undergraduate Engineering Technology.

Description
The engineering Technology Scholarship is targeted to students enrolled full-time in a post-secondary educational institution and pursuing either a bachelor or an associate degree in a course of study, which has traditionally been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession

Eligibility
The interested applicants of The engineering Technology Scholarship must meet one of the following criteria:

  • the institution hosts a recognized ASHRAE student branch ASHRAE Student Branches
  • the program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) www.abet.org or an agency outside the USA that is a signatory of The Sydney Accord
  • the educational organization is accredited by the Partnership for Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Accreditation (PAHRA) (http://www.pahrahvacr.org/)

In addition applicants must Applicants must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale where 4.0 is the highest and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30%

Application Procedure
In order to be considered in this engineering Technology Scholarship applicants must submit the following documents:
  • Official transcript of college grades (College freshmen whose grades are not available by the application deadline must submit an official transcript of their high school grades and verification of enrollment in a post-secondary educational institution).  Transcript must be mailed.  Photocopies will not be accepted.
  • Three signed letters of recommendation as follows: one from an instructor or faculty advisor, one from a current or past employer, and one from another character reference (other than a family member).  In the case of institutions with an ASHRAE student branch, a letter from the faculty advisor of that branch may be one of the letters of recommendation.
