Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for Documentary Film directing

Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with Third Countries. The Erasmus Mundus programme offers two categories of scholarships to students selected by the DOC NOMADS consortium.

The number of scholarships available in different categories in the first edition (2012-2014) were as follows:
  • 9 scholarships for students in Category A
  • 7 scholarships for students in Category B
  • 4 additional scholarships for the special region: Western Balkans and Turkey; Tunisia and Egypt; Eastern Neighbourhood Countries i.e. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The number of scholarships in the edition 2013-2015 will be somewhat lower.

Individuals who have already benefited from an EMMC scholarship are not eligible for a second scholarship in order to follow the same or another EMMC.
Students fulfilling the eligibility criteria for both Category A and B – e.g. students with a double nationality – must select the Category of their choice.
In order to make the programme more attractive to third-country nationals, the amount of the full study scholarship will be higher for third-country masters students (Category A scholarships) than for European masters students (Category B scholarships)
The monthly allowance amount may be increased in order to help cover the additional costs of students with special needs.
