About us
bab.la is a start-up based in Hamburg, Germany. Our product is a fast-growing interactive language portal, containing online dictionaries as well as quizzes, games and vocabulary lessons for language learning. We offer paid internships in IT in a true start-up atmosphere with full integration into the team, lots of fun and exciting tasks. Starting date is negotiable, minimum duration 3 months.

Your job

You work as a web developer on bab.la’s website. You will have the opportunity to work both in the frontend and backend development. This includes technical concept, specification, implementation and documentation of new functions and products. You will work on your own projects and be solely responsible for your products.

Your profile
- Good knowledge of HTML 5, PHP & SQL programming
- Experience in Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery welcome
- Experience in mobile development (e.g. iPhone/Android apps) welcome
- This all combined with a strong entrepreneurial drive, team orientation, a
proactive approach and a good sense of humor
- Excellent in English, no German language skills required
- No worries: If you are good, we’ll teach you the things you don’t know yet
