The Interactive Media Institute (IMI) is a non-profit association, which informs and educates the scientific community as well as the general public on the uses of advanced technologies such as virtual reality and telehealth to improve the quality and availability of healthcare for people around the globe. It is closely affiliated with the Virtual Reality Medical Institute, a Belgian SME, as well as the Virtual Reality Medical Center, a medical corporation based in California.
IMI organizes and sponsors national and international workshops, conferences, and continuing education courses. We also publish a quarterly magazine and a biannual newsletter. IMI is active in conducting research, marketing, and clinical trials and specializes in virtual reality, telehealth, video game virtual reality and human-computer interaction research.
