2013-2014 Loughborough University Graduate School International Scholarships in UK

The Loughborough University is offering graduate school scholarships for International students. Over 100 scholarships will be available in 2013/2014 to new self-financing full-time international students who are permanently resident in a country outside the European Union (EU). These graduate school scholarships will be awarded on the basis of outstanding academic achievement and potential. Each scholarship will be of 1 year duration.
Study Subject(s): Subjects are Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering, School of Business and Economics (Business),School of Business and Economics (Economics),Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil and Building Engineering, Computing Science, Design School, Geography, Information Science, Materials, Mathematics, Physics, Politics, History and International Relations, School of Sport Exercise and Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Course Level: This scholarship is available for pursuing postgraduate taught degree level. Eligibility: If applicants tuition fees are being paid by them, their family, relatives or family friends then they will be considered to be “self-financing”.  If, however, the fees is being paid in full by an employer, university, Government or other corporate organisation then applicant will not be eligible for a Loughborough University scholarship. If student have partial funding from such an organisation, then he/she will still be eligible for a Loughborough University scholarship, provided the amount that he/she are funding yourself is equal to, or more than, the value of the scholarship. The scholarship will not normally be offered in combination with any other Loughborough University scholarship or award.
Scholarship Open for International Students: The students outside the EU can apply for this scholarship.

The Loughborough University Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of outstanding academic achievement and potential. Each scholarship will be of 1 year’s duration. Applicants to the Departments of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering, School of Business and Economics (Business), School of Business and Economics (Economics), Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil and Building Engineering, Computing Science, Design School, Geography, Information Science, Materials, Mathematics, Physics, Politics, History and International Relations, School of Sport Exercise and Health Sciences and Social Sciences will automatically be considered for a scholarship. They should provide the initial application which should be completed and contains all the relevant information (degree transcripts, references etc.). For these Departments there is no separate scholarship application process. For Departments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering students are invited to apply for a scholarship after an offer of a place has been made.
Number of awards offered: Over 100 scholarships will be available in 2013/2014.
Duration of award: Each scholarship will be of 1 year duration.

Selection Criteria: The Loughborough University Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of outstanding academic achievement and potential. Different Departments will have varying criteria for awarding scholarships, however, in general the university will be looking for students who have the equivalent of a UK First Class honours degree, or a very high 2:1 OR who have sufficient grades to demonstrate the potential to achieve this level.
Notification: All those applying using the scholarship application form will be notified of the outcome of their application by email by the end July at the latest.
How to Apply: For Departments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering students are invited to apply for a scholarship after an offer of a place has been made.The mode of applying is by post, fax or email. For other departments there is no separate scholarship application process.
Scholarship Application Deadline: The final closing date for applications is June 30, 2013, though applicants are advised to apply as early as possible.
