International Scholarships at University of Wales Newport in UK, 2013/14

University of Wales Newport is offering International Scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate degree level. Applicants must have firmly accepted the offer made by the University of Wales, Newport before submitting an application. Scholarships of £1,000 per year will be awarded and the scholarship award will be deducted from your annual tuition fee. Scholarships will be awarded by the Scholarship Committee based upon merit through consideration of a completed Scholarship Application Form.

Eligibility: Applicants must hold an offer for a Taught Postgraduate programme at the University of Wales, Newport.
-Applicants must have firmly accepted the offer made by the University of Wales, Newport before submitting an application.
- Conditional offer holders may apply for the scholarship but an award can only be made if conditions are met.
- The scholarship application must be typed (or reasons for not doing so given) and must be a piece of original work signed by the applicant.
-All scholarship applicants must agree to provide a student profile to be used in publications for the purposes of marketing the University of Wales, Newport.
- Current University of Wales, Newport students are not eligible to apply

Scholarship Open for International Students: International students can apply for this scholarship.
Scholarship Description: Scholarships are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants and awards are made for the academic year 2013/2014 (or for the duration of your course).  Scholarships of £1,000 per year will be awarded and the scholarship award will be deducted from your annual tuition fee.  A maximum of 10 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate scholarship awards will be made for each intake (September 2013 and January 2014). Scholarships will be awarded by the Scholarship Committee based upon merit through consideration of a completed Scholarship Application Form.  These awards will be made at the beginning of the each semester and the decision by the Scholarship Committee is final.
Number of award(s): A maximum of ten scholarships are offered for undergraduate students. Five scholarships are offered for postgraduate students.
Duration of award(s): Scholarship is offered for duration of course.
What does it cover? Scholarships of £1,000 per year will be awarded and the scholarship award will be deducted from your annual tuition fee.
Selection criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit through consideration of a completed Scholarship Application Form.
Notification:  Students will be notified in September if they have been successful and there will be a ceremony held early in the academic year to celebrate the awards.
How to Apply: Completed Scholarship Application Form should be sent via post.
Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadlines are:
- For applicants starting in September 2013: 2nd September 2013
-For applicants starting January 2014: 6th January 2014
