2013-2014 Subject-Specific Scholarships at Sheffield Hallam University in UK

Sheffield Hallam University is funding Subject-Specific Scholarships in UK. The scholarships for international students are offered for studying all Art and Design, Big Data Analytics, Engineering, Media and Communications courses at Sheffield Hallam University. Student must have an unconditional/conditional offer for pursuing taught undergraduate and postgraduate degree research level. Student must have excellent academic, personal or professional achievement. Student should be self funding their studies and are English proficient and have obtained minimum of IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in all areas). Students will be will be notified approximately one month after this date using the contact details on the course application. 
About Scholarship: Scholarship applications should be sent following an application for a taught course at Sheffield Hallam University. The scholarships will be awarded to well-qualified students who demonstrate academic, personal or professional achievement in the personal statement on their scholarship application form. Successful applicants will be awarded with a certificate to mark their achievement at a Scholarships ceremony following enrollment on their course and a payment will be made after enrollment. This scholarship is not a reduction in fees. 
Study: The scholarship is provided to study all art and design courses, MSc Big Data Analytics, all engineering courses and all media and communications courses offered by at Sheffield Hallam University.

Eligibility: To be eligible to apply for one of these scholarships you must
-postgraduate only
- have achieved a minimum 2.1 or equivalent in your honours degree and must meet the minimum course entry requirements. Please attach transcripts to scholarship applications.
-undergraduate only
- you must achieve or exceed the entry criteria for the course. have an unconditional/conditional offer to study a full-time postgraduate course at Sheffield Hallam University. Find out how to apply for a course. -be enrolling on a one year full-time taught postgraduate course with Sheffield Hallam starting in the 2013/14 academic year
-be self-funding your studies have, or expect to achieve, a minimum of IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in all areas) or equivalent* be classed as an international student for fees purposes
-be able to pay any additional fees your course may require, for example field trips Free pre-sessional English (Faculty of Arts Computing Engineering and Sciences only) Study level 4, 5, 6 and 7. You must meet all the course entry criteria, including IELTS 6.0 

Scholarship Open for: The International students can apply for this scholarship. 
Duration: Free pre-sessional English (Faculty of Arts Computing Engineering and Sciences only):Five weeks. Art and Design:First year of study only September 2013 and January 2014, Big Data Analytics:September 2013, Engineering: First year of study only September 2013 and January 2014, Media and Communications: First year of study only September 2013 and January 2014. 
Value: The value of scholarship for each course i.e. Art and Design, Big Data Analytics, Engineering, Media and Communications is £5000. 
Selection Criteria: The scholarships will be awarded to well-qualified students who demonstrate academic, personal or professional achievement in the personal statement on their scholarship application form. 
Notification: The panel will be held after the closing date and applicants will be notified approximately one month after this date using the contact details on the course application. 
Apply: The mode of applying is electronically or by post. 
Deadline: You must have accepted your offer and returned your scholarship application form by 1 November 2013 for courses starting January 2014.
