2014 George Henry Marshall Scholarship for Postgraduate Students in UK

University of Birmingham is offering scholarship for postgraduate students undertaking a full-time History-based programme in the College of Arts and Law. The scholarship is open for EU, overseas (Non-EU) and UK students. One award is available each year and will be tenable for one year only. This scholarship will cover the home rate of postgraduate tuition fees and stipends for living costs. Application deadline is 16th May 2014.

Eligibility:
-
Open to new and current full-time postgraduate students, studying taught or research-based programmes.
-Preference is given to nominees from the West Midlands and those studying Classics or History.

Scholarship Open for: EU, overseas (Non-EU) and UK students (Preference will be given to candidates from the West Midlands) can apply for this scholarship.
Number of award: One
Duration: Scholarship will be offered for one year only.
Value: This scholarship will cover the home rate of postgraduate tuition fees. Stipends for living costs may be available in some cases; however, this will be subject to available funding and cannot be guaranteed.
Apply: Applications cannot be made directly for these awards; candidates need to be nominated by their school or department. If you are interested and fit the eligibility criteria, please speak to the postgraduate administrator within your school, or your admissions tutor. For more information please submit a query to the Student Funding Office through university website. You should aim to apply by mid-March (when nominations open) prior to the start of the academic term. Nominations close in late May.
