2014 Michael Wills Scholarship for Graduate Students at University of Oxford in UK

Dulverton Trust offers scholarship for graduate students in Development Studies, Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, Global Governance and Diplomacy, Economics for Development and Migration Studies for the students of Non-EEA at University of Oxford. The scholarship will provide 100% of university and college fees and a grant for living costs (sufficient to cover your living costs in Oxford, amount to be confirmed in October on our Living Costs webpage). Awards are made for the full duration of a student’s fee liability for the agreed course. Application deadline is 24 January 2014. 
About Scholarship: These scholarships were established in the spirit of post-World War II reconciliation and are named after Captain Michael Wills MC, a former student at Magdalen College who was killed in action in Tunisia in 1943. Michael Wills was a cousin and close friend of the 2nd Lord Dulverton and hence the Dulverton Trust generously funds the Michael Wills Scholarship.The Dulverton Trust are an independent, charitable, grant-making organization established by Deed in 1949 by the 1st Lord Dulverton. The Dulverton Trust also funds Dulverton Scholarships at the University of Oxford. For 2014-15, the Michael Wills Scholarships will also be co-funded and run in conjunction with the Oxford Department of International Development.

Eligibility: -Applicants should be applying to start a new graduate course at Oxford. The complete list of eligible courses is: MPhil Development Studies, MSc Refugee & Forced Migration Studies, MSc Migration Studies, MSc Economics for Development and MSc global governance and diplomacy.
-In the spirit of the Scholarship’s ethos, preference will be given to students from countries that have experienced conflict in the past 30 years.
-Applicants who are resident in non-EEA countries should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence on completion of their studies.
-Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of outstanding academic merit.
-This scholarship is not open to students with deferred entry. 

Scholarship Open for: The students of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, FYR of Macedonia, Hungary, Kosovo Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine can apply for this scholarship.

Duration: Awards are made for the full duration of a student’s fee liability for the agreed course. 
Value: The scholarship will provide 100% of university and college fees and a grant for living costs (sufficient to cover your living costs in Oxford, amount to be confirmed in October on our Living Costs webpage). If your scholarship is offered for a course lasting more than one year, the continuation of your scholarship each year is subject to an annual renewal process based upon satisfactory academic progress. 
Selection criteria: The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of outstanding academic merit. 
Notification: Decisions are expected to be made in early May 2014. Successful candidates will be notified by email and will receive an award letter. This webpage will be updated as soon as successful candidates have been notified. 
Apply: In order to be considered for this scholarship, you must submit your application for graduate study by 24 January 2014. There is no additional application process for this scholarship; all eligible candidates who apply to Oxford by the deadline will be considered.
