EUROCONTROL Graduate Programme

EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, is an intergovernmental organisation made up of 40 Member States and the European Community. It is a civil-military organisation that has developed into a vital European repository of air traffic management (ATM) excellence, both leading and supporting ATM improvements across Europe.

EUROCONTROL plays a pivotal role in Europe by working together with all aviation partners to deliver a Single European Sky that will help to meet the safety, capacity and performance challenges of European aviation in the 21st century.

EUROCONTROL'S GRADUATE PROGRAMME

The programme aims to attract dynamic, highly motivated and talented recent graduates with excellent qualifications who are looking for a starting point for an exciting career in ATM in a unique international environment.

The programme consists of three challenging assignments of 1 year in different business areas. On each rotation graduates will learn about the Agency's business and culture, while taking on various responsibilities and project work, and receiving a structured training programme.

A personal mentor will be assigned for the whole duration of the programme to help the graduates achieving the various objectives while promoting their development and assisting them in planning their career.

Required profile

  • Recently graduated with a Master degree (graduation date in or after 2012) in:
1. Air Traffic Management: Aeronautics, Aviation (Management)/Airport Management/Avionics or Aerospace/Communcations Navigation Surveillance/Safety;
2. Economics with specialisation in Political Sciences;
3. Law;
4. Human resources;
  • Excellent academic track record and/or proven extra-curricular achievements;
  • Maximum of two years work-experience after graduation at the closing date of the competition;
  • A strong drive to succeed combined with an ability to think creatively;
  • Open-minded, flexible, highly motivated and ready to take on challenges;
  • Professional conduct in line with corporate behaviours of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team player approach;
  • The working languages of the Agency are English and French. Candidates applying for the Graduate Programme must have must have an excellent command of English (oral/written) and a working knowledge of French, or the willingness to learn French.
