2014-2015 Highly Skilled Workforce Scholarships for Master Students in UK

University of Edinburgh is offering 92 masters scholarships for the 2014-2015 academic session. The scholarships are open to UK nationals who are permanently domiciled in Scotland as well as EU nationals who have been accepted on an eligible full-time or part-time eligible programme. The scholarships will cover the UK/EU tuition fee. The award of scholarship will be automatically deducted from tuition fee. Application should be submitted till 1st May 2014.
About Scholarship: 92 Master’s Scholarships are available for the 2014-2015 academic session at the University of Edinburgh. Scholarships are available to UK nationals who are permanently domiciled in Scotland as well as EU nationals who have been accepted on an eligible full-time or part-time Master’s degree programme.
Study: Scholarships are awarded in one of the following eligible subject areas: MSc Accounting and Finance, Banking and Risk, Carbon Finance, Learning for Sustainability, Outdoor Education, Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education, Science and Technology in Society, Research Science and Technology Studies within the college of Humanities and Social Science and MSc Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Carbon Capture and Storage, Carbon Management, Drug Discovery and Translation Biology, Ecosystem Services, Environmental Protection and Management, Financial Mathematics, Financial Modelling and Optimization, Geographical Information Science, High Performance Computing, Mathematical Physics, Medicinal and Biological Chemistry, Next Generation Drug Discovery, Operational Research, Statistics and Operational Research, Sustainable Energy Systems, Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology and Theoretical Physics within the college of Science and Engineering. Eligibility: Scholarships are available to UK nationals, who are permanently domiciled in Scotland, as well as EU nationals (excluding UK nationals) domiciled in EU or Scotland but not elsewhere in UK, who have been accepted on an eligible full-time or part-time Master’s degree programme.
Scholarship Open for: Students of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom can apply for these masters scholarships.
Number of awards: 92 Masters scholarships are available for the 2014-2015 academic session.
Value: These masters scholarships will cover the UK/EU tuition fee. The award of scholarship will be automatically deducted from tuition fee.
Selection Criteria: The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and the benefits to the student. Candidates must have or expect to obtain the international equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.
Notification: Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by the end of May 2014 (for those who applied by 1st May 2014). Please note that this scholarship will have a second round of applications with a deadline of 30th June 2014 (results known in July 2014).
