2014 LLM Immigration Law Partial Scholarship at Queen Mary University of London in UK

The Department of Law within the Queen Mary University of London is offering two partial scholarships. Scholarships are available for outstanding Home/EU and overseas full time candidates for the new LLM in Immigration Law starting in September 2014. Applicants must have an offer of study on the full time LLM programme in Immigration Law. The LLM partial scholarships cover 50% of the tuition only and will be deducted from tuition fees payable to the college. The application deadline is 6 June 2014.

Eligibility:
-You must have an offer of study (either conditional or unconditional) for the LLM in Immigration Law before you apply for a scholarship.
-The LLM in Immigration Law partial scholarships are open to applicants who have an offer of study on the full time LLM in Immigration Law only and are not open to those with an offer on the part time LLM Programme.

Scholarship Open for: UK/EU and overseas students can apply for these partial scholarships.
Number of awards: 2 partial scholarships are offered.
Value: The LLM partial scholarships cover 50% of the tuition only and will be deducted from tuition fees payable to the college. The scholarships do not cover additional course costs (books etc.) or accommodation fees. Scholarships are not payable directly to successful applicants but are off set against the student’s fee invoice.
Selection Criteria: The scholarship will be awarded to those who we deem to have successfully demonstrated their reasoning for being awarded a scholarship based on the following criteria; Academic merit, Professional achievements (if any) and Financial need. The personal statement should include all of the above information and should be in response to the text as detailed on the application form.
Notification: Scholarship decisions will be notified to students by the middle-end of June 2014.
Apply:  Applicants are required to submit the following:
-A completed LLM in Immigration Law partial scholarship application form.
-1000 word (maximum) statement in response to the text as detailed on the application form.
-Transcripts of your law degree and any other legal qualifications. Please submit relevant, translated copies only.
-Curriculum Vitae
-1 x Reference letter (This can be a copy of the reference submitted as part of your LLM application or, if not available to you, you must obtain a reference specifically for this scholarship application). Please do not submit more than one reference letter.
-Once completed, all documents should be sent via email to p.loizou-at-qmul.ac.uk.

Deadline: The deadline for submission of the scholarships application is 1 pm (13:00 hours) GMT on Friday 6 June 2014. (Applicants need to apply for the LLM in Immigration Law as early as possible and no later than 4 pm (16:00 hours) GMT on 27 May 2014.)
Important Note: Due to very tight turnaround deadlines between 27 May and 6 June, if you apply very late in May for the LLM in Immigration Law and would like to be considered for the scholarship, please prepare your scholarship application in advance, so that it can be emailed if an offer is made, to meet the 6 June deadline.
