2014-2015 Edinburgh Business School MBA Scholarships by Distance Learning in UK

Canon Collins Trust is inviting applications on behalf of Edinburgh Business School for its distance learning MBA programme. These scholarships are open for the applicants of sub-Saharan African country. Canon Collins Trust selects scholars on behalf of Edinburgh Business School for its distance learning MBA programme. This scholarship covers the cost of all tuition, learning materials and examination fees. Learning materials are available to access online and a hard copy is also sent to scholars by post. The application deadline is 24th June 2014.
About Scholarship: Canon Collins Trust selects scholars on behalf of Edinburgh Business School for its distance learning MBA programme. The scholarship does not cover travel to examination centres or associated costs such as travel to the graduation ceremony.

Eligibility: To be eligible to apply for an Edinburgh Business School MBA Scholarship, you must:
-be a national of and ordinarily resident in a sub-Saharan African country;
-be able to say how the MBA will benefit you and your community;
-have a first degree from a recognised university or a professional qualification such as ACCA;
-be at least 25 years old and not older than 50 years old at the time of starting the programme;
-have at least 2 year’s full-time work experience;
-have access to an operational Internet connection.

Scholarship Open for: The students of Angola, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, South Sudan, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Botswana, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique,  Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Benin, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo can apply for the scholarship.
Number of awards: Up to 50 scholarships will be offered.

Selection criteria: Criteria for selection:
-demonstrated academic ability
-the applicant’s reasons for choosing to do this course at this university
-the personal qualities of the applicant
-evidence of the candidate’s commitment to their country’s future
-financial need
-Applications will be assessed on the basis of the application form and supporting documentation, including references.
