IKEA Research Fellowship for Study in University of Oxford, United Kingdom

This is a Research Fellowship Program Merit Based Scholarship and students are eligible from International Student to apply for the same. Only Few such award is being offered and the deadline for application is 25-Nov-14.
This Scholarship will Offer you £18,372 per annum, at current rates; any teaching above three hours will be paid at the Senior Tutors’ Committee agreed hourly rate. The Research Fellow will be entitled to all meals (Common Table rights) whenever the kitchens are open. The College can offer living accommodation for a single person in College, and the Research Fellow would normally live in college. Eligibility:
  1. Applicants should either have successfully completed a doctorate or have a Master’s degree and be well advanced in the process of completing a doctoral thesis. Candidates should additionally have a project which they intend to complete in the period of the Fellowship. The award is intended to support a recently post-doctoral candidate.
  2. Candidates who have not previously taught the International Relations papers at Oxford will be expected to familiarise themselves with the syllabus and to be prepared to teach at least the core paper 214; but the ability to teach paper 212 (International Relations in the Era of Two Wars) and paper 213 (International Relations in the Era of the Cold War) would be welcome.

Applications should be submitted by email to stadministrator@lmh.ox.ac.uk to arrive not later than noon on Tuesday 25th November 2014.They should comprise:
  • A curriculum vitae including a list of published work
  • A brief description of research to date
  • An outline (no more than 500 words) of the research proposal
  • An application form (Attachment 1), including the names of three referees
  • An equal opportunities monitoring form (optional; one copy only, Attachment 2)
All applicants will be sent an emailed confirmation of receipt of their application as soon as possible after it arrives.This will be sent to the email address from which the application was sent, unless specified otherwise by the applicant. We will communicate with applicants by email; please state clearly in your application if email communication is problematic for you.
All reasonable interview expenses will be reimbursed. If these will be more than £250 please agree the expenditure in advance with the Senior Tutor at LMH (senior.tutor@lmh.ox.ac.uk).
Candidates who are short-listed for the post will be notified by email and will be invited to interview at Oxford on Thursday 4th December 2014.Short-listed candidates will be asked to give a brief presentation(10-15 minutes) on their research. The College will organise accommodation if candidates wish to stay overnight.
Once all the information has been received by University of Oxford and the assessment of the submitted documents is complete, you will be informed about your selection in the same.
