International Cooperation Policy Fellowship

SOLIDAR is looking for a young and dynamic candidate to join our team in Brussels as anInternational Cooperation Policy Fellow.
Key tasks:
Within SOLIDAR's International Cooperation Policy Fellowship programme, the candidate will have the opportunity to monitor the social impacts of the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) on the Middle East and North Africa region and EU Development Cooperation Programmes in selected developing countries. Within this framework, the candidate will closely work with SOLIDAR members and Partners from the region to develop Social Protection monitoring reports, and will substantially contribute to monitoring the improvement of the social dimension of the EU foreign policy, as well as development cooperation policy.
During the program, fellows will be expected to make substantive contributions to:
1. Monitoring of EU policy impact with SOLIDAR members and partners.
2. Developing policy and monitoring reports within EU Members States and neighboring countries.
3. Organizing visibility and advocacy initiatives presenting the findings of the policy monitoring process.
Key skills and competences:
Fluency in English language (written and spoken)
Fluency in French language (written and spoken)
Working knowledge of Arabic is an asset
Proven working knowledge of European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) and/or EU Development Cooperation Policy, and of EU decision-making processes.
Previous experience in developing policy analysis and proven ability to write briefing papers and reports
Field experience in developing countries is an asset.
