2016 Holland Scholarship for International Applicants at Stenden University in Netherlands

Applications are invited for Holland Scholarship supported by Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and various Dutch higher education institutions (including Stenden). Scholarship is for first-year students from non-EU/EEA countries for pursuing undergraduate degree at Stenden University of Applied Sciences.
Stenden University wishes to attract good international students and to establish a streamlined and co-ordinated guideline for the relation between international students and Stenden University using this Code of Conduct.
Stenden University of Applied Sciences is a practice-based university that prides itself with its international atmosphere. The international environment encompasses the institution as a whole, its campus sites abroad, a vast variety of English-taught study programmes, worldwide internship opportunities and its student diversity with more than 90 nationalities amongst a total of 11,000 students.
In order to be eligible applicants must have a high level of English-language proficiency (IELTS 6.0 or higher).
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate degree programme (scholarship covers only the first year of study).
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to earn any of the courses offered by the university.
Scholarship Award: Funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and various Dutch higher education institutions (including Stenden), the €5,000 scholarship is awarded to selected number of first-year students from non-EU/EEA countries. The scholarship covers only the first year of study.

Eligibility: To qualify as a candidate for the Holland Scholarship they must:
-be a citizen of a non-EU/EEA country
-not have previously attended a Dutch institute of higher education
-have received a conditional or unconditional offer from Stenden for a Bachelor’s programme of their choice
-have a high level of English-language proficiency (IELTS 6.0 or higher).
Nationality: Applicants from outside non-EU/EEA countries are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: To be admitted to one of the bachelor programmes applicants have to meet certain admission requirements:
-International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or European Baccalaureate Diploma
-High School diploma from an accredited institution
-Five GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level passes plus two ‘A’ level passes
-Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree.
English Language Requirement: All non-EER applicants are required to submit an English proficiency test with their application. Exceptions are made for students, who have had their preparatory education in a country where English is the official working and educational language. The language requirements for EER students are the same as for Dutch students.
Test Requirement: Stenden University of Applied Sciences accepts three kinds of official language tests: IELTS, TOEFL and the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.
-Academic IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.0 for each skill).
-TOEFL 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based) and 80 (internet based). Original test results must be sent directly from the Educational Testing Service to Stenden. The TOEFL institution code for Stenden is 9215.
-Cambridge ESOL score CAE-C.

Application Deadline: If applicants would like to be considered for selection in the first round, their deadline for application is 1st February 2016. A second selection round – subject to availability of scholarships – will be held for students applying before 1st May 2016.
