Legal and Compliance Intern (Paid)

Duration: 6 months
Start: Immediate
MedTech Europe, an Alliance of European medical technology industry associations, is looking for an intern to join its legal and compliance department.
The role will involve:
Monitoring and researching national legal and self-regulatory requirements relevant to healthcare industry (e.g. anti-bribery, transparency etc.);
Updating two annual publications, in particular the Manual on National Healthcare Compliance Requirements and the Report on National Dispute Resolution Mechanisms;
Providing support to the Compliance Officer managing the Conference Vetting System (e.g. database management, filing, admin support);
Providing day-to-day support to the legal team (e.g. Conduct legal research and analysis; review, drafting and filing contracts; taking minutes; organising meetings; updating website, and etc.)
Profile:
Completed BA in Law;
Fluent in English + at least one other EU language;
Excellent research and drafting skills, including experience in contract drafting;
Well organised and detail-oriented;
Eligible to work as a trainee in Belgium.

The Alliance was founded in October 2012 and currently has two members being EDMA, representing the European in vitro diagnostic industry, and Eucomed, representing the European medical devices industry.
