International Max Planck Research School for Global Biogeochemical Cycles (IMPRS-gBGC) PhD Program in Germany, 2017

In cooperation with the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry houses a unique and flexible research program that grants German and foreign students a broad selection of learning opportunities while still maintaining a research focus. The International Max Planck Research School for Global Biogeochemical Cycles (IMPRS-gBGC) offers a PhD program specializing in global biogeochemistry and related Earth System sciences.

Scholarship Award: PhD positions are fully funded either with a scholarship or a contract

Eligibility: Applicants hold (or are about to receive) a Master of Science or equivalent

College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Master’s degree in bio(geo)chemistry, geosciences, (geo-)ecology, geography, remote sensing, environmental science, physics, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, (micro-)biology, soil science or related natural sciences
Test Requirement: Master of science or equivalent
English Language Requirements: excellent oral and written English skills
